Outdoor Pools and Public Beaches Opening for Season

Thunder Bay residents can enjoy swimming at the City’s outdoor pools and public beaches beginning on Friday.The Heath, Widnall and Dease pools are scheduled to open to the public at the following times on Friday, June 27:· Dease Pool – 5:30 pm· Heath and Widnall pools – 6 pm“All pools are inspected by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit prior to opening each season,” said Marko Litwinenko, Supervisor – Aquatic Services. “We are pleased to open the facilities for some summer fun.”In addition, Boulevard Lake’s Main Beach is scheduled to open at 5 pm on Friday, while Sandy Beach at Chippewa Park will open at 11:30 am, on Saturday, June 28.
