Jane's Walk: explore your city and connect with your neighbours

On May 2 and 3, Thunder Bay residents will have an opportunity to share stories and learn about different neighbourhoods at Jane’s Walk. Jane's Walk is an international event celebrating the work of urban activist Jane Jacobs, who promoted the idea that accessible, mixed-use neighbourhoods are the key to the health, safety, and survival of a city.In Thunder Bay, the walks are supported by the Crime Prevention Council and hosted by local volunteers. This year’s local walks include the Simpson/Ogden, Windsor/Picton/Blucher, Current River, Waverley-North Core, Westfort, Vickers/Hyde Park, McKellar, and Mariday Park neighbourhoods. Maps and meeting places are posted online, so get out and explore the vibrant communities that make up our city!janeswalk.org
