  1. Sleeping Giant Provincial Park*

    Ontario Parks 00

Time to pack up the car, we got an extra-long weekend ahead! Load the cooler, grab the sleeping bags and tent—in about an hour we’ll be at Sleeping Giant Provincial Park, Northwestern Ontario’s preferred camping destination. Summer memories are forged in sun and water and fun, and Sleeping Giant has been a part of that for decades. Centred around the vast campground at Marie Louise Lake, the park is a perfect showcase for the wild and wonderful landscape of Lake Superior’s north shore. Family-friendly, the main campground has sprawling sites, a broad beach, playgrounds, visitor centre, and plenty of amenities to make your stay more comfortable. Pay a visit to the Sea Lion via the Tee Harbour trail, take a short drive to historic Silver Islet for some ice cream, or get away from your campsite on one of the many hiking trails that wind through the park. The weekend is short, but the park will be there next summer.
