Experience the Modern Nomadic Sound of Tuvergen Band – Live at the Arrowhead Center for the Arts!

Join us on March 8 for an unforgettable evening with Tuvergen Band, a Chicago-based folk-fusion trio that weaves Mongolian and Tuvan traditions into a mesmerizing musical experience. Blending ancient sounds with contemporary influences, Tuvergen’s “modern nomadic music” transports audiences through the vast landscapes of the steppes with its rich and dynamic sound.

The trio features Tamir and Naizal, masterful players of the morin khuur (horse-head fiddle), alongside Roman, who brings a global rhythm to the mix with his custom hybrid drum kit of twenty percussion instruments and didgeridoo. Adding to the magic, Tamir is an internationally renowned specialist in Mongolian and Tuvan throat singing (khoomii), an ancient vocal art that must be heard to be believed. Their music explores themes of horse culture, nature, and daily life on the steppes, creating a one-of-a-kind sonic journey.

March 8 at 7:00 PM at the Arrowhead Center for the Arts (515 W 5th Street, Grand Marais, MN)
