Riverfest 2013

Date:            Saturday, Sept. 7Time:            12 – 4 pmLocation:      Kam River Heritage ParkDetails:  The "Festival of the River" highlights the history and potential of Thunder Bay's Waterfront while drawing visitors to Kaministiqua River Heritage Park and the City's downtown South Core.  Tours of various ships will be available, including the James Whalen Tug, Canadian Coast Guard, Glenada Tug, RCMP vessel and Sail Superior Charters. On-site attractions include children’s activities like face painting and crafts, food concessions, and the 5th annual Reel In Fishing Derby for anyone ages 13 and under (sponsored by the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters, MNR and the Thunder Bay Public Library).
