The skating rink at Prince Arthur’s Landing officially opens today. With the opening of the rink, the City is encouraging residents to come down to the waterfront and enjoy the many activities and facilities available to the public.
“With the skating rink open and the recent mild temperatures, Prince Arthur’s Landing is still bustling as we head into the winter months,” said Kathy Ball, Operations Coordinator at Marina Park.
“There is so much to do down here year-round. Residents can enjoy a wonderful meal, or snack while enjoying unparalleled views and natural surroundings of Thunder Bay’s waterfront. Grab your skates and make a day of it.”
The skating rink and Water Garden Pavilion are open every day from 11:30 am to 9 pm, until the end of March Break.
The Water Garden Pavilion and bight Restaurant & Bar provides park goers with quick-service options at the concession window while they use the many outdoor attractions and walking paths as well as a full-service, fully-licensed establishment. Hours are as follows:
Sunday & Monday – 11:30 am – 10 pm
Tuesday & Wednesday – 11:30 am – 11 pm
Thursday, Friday, Saturday – 11:30 am – 1 am
The Baggage Building Arts Centre also offers a variety of free and registered activities, a Gift Gallery with a selection of items made by local artists and artisans, seasonal and community events, as well as monthly exhibits from the artist in residence on the main floor. Hours are Tuesday – Friday, 11 am – 5 pm and weekends, 12 – 4 pm.
