Rich tapestries, heady scents of cumin, paprika, and saffron, an exceptional view of Lake Superior and the Sleeping Giant will combine with exotic rhythms to transport you to an alluring, warm, and unforgettable night at the Kasbah during Arabian Night at Bight–a Spanish and Moroccan-inspired five-course wine and food pairing.

The acclaimed Flamenco Caravan will provide the music for the evening, evoking balmy, luscious, nights on the shores of the mediterranean. The rich spices of Morocco and Spain will bring out the fresh flavours in the five courses highlighting tasty, traditional dishes. Classic native grape varieties and wine styles will be handpicked from Spain to complement the savoury five courses of food. Jeannie Dubois, Bight’s sommelier, states, “We hope to create a Kasbah atmosphere that will bring Spain and Morocco to Bight for the night and lavish our guests with an exotic evening of fine food, wine and music.”

The event is in support of the Remembering The General Monument Campaign, which will help the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre build a monument to honour and remember the General Hospital of Port Arthur and the men and women who devoted their lives to this important part of Thunder Bay’s health care history.

Arabian Night takes place November 7. The cost for the event is $150 per person. The symposium begins at 6:30 pm, with dinner starting at 7 pm. Tickets can be purchased through Bight Restaurant + Bar, located at 2210 Sleeping Giant Parkway, Marina Park.
